What's The iDOLM@STER 2 about?
The iDOLM@STER 2 is a rhythm based game with visual novel like elements. You are a producer at 765 pro and you have to pick 3 girls to produce out of the wide selection of girls at your disposal.
For anyone that has not seen the anime, or played the first game (which was on the 360/Arcade in Japan), there are 13 girls, however, you can only choose 9 of them as 4 of the girls (Ritsuko, Iori, Azusa and Ami) have set up their own unit within the company called Ryuuguu Komachi.
The second game is set as if the first game and the PSP titles didn't happen (i.e no big producer came to save the day and Miki, Takane and Hibiki automatically joined 765 pro instead of forming Project Fairy with 961 pro).
Here some examples of the activities that you do throughout the game:
- Lessons (Vocal, Visual and Dance)
- Shopping! (cause, you know, girls like clothes)
- Auditions
- Live Shows
- Festivals (where you play against your rivals)
What exactly is an Idol?
The best way to describe an idol is a talented jack-of-all-trades (at least, media wise), they do singing, dancing, voice acting, theater, radio shows, tv shows and more.
