Born in November 2007, he became the first ferret to not bite his owner during his lifetime, thus earning him the name ‘Buddy’. He is survived by his owner, TomBob Blender, and his millions of fellow streamers who knew him from the internet video streaming services, Ustream and JustinTV/Twitch. He was well-respected in the community for his seemingly unlimited hours or sleeping and his visual appearances known as “BuddiiCam” where he would live his life as any ferret would, eating, drinking, sleeping and the occasional yawn. He brought smiles and laughs to everyone who knew him. His nickname was later obtained through his integration as the stream mascot and his continuous involvement with Nintendo-related properties, including the popular video gaming system at the time, Wii. He willingly accepted the naming gimmick, and went on to be known as Buddii. He had a short, less-than-24-hour interaction with a female counterpart named “Miia” who, due to her vicious nature, was promptly removed from the scene. From then on, it was Tom and Buddii, better known as “My Buddii and Mii”.
He stayed with TomBob as he went to college where he completed his graduate work in Music Education. After graduating in 2011, TomBob was hired as a music teacher in California state where, unfortunately, ferrets were illegal. Buddii insisted TomBob follow his dreams, as so he did. Parting their ways, Buddii was left in the care of TomBob’s family. Yearly visits in December during Christmas brought the two together to catch up on old times. Though Buddii never married or had children, he will always be TomBob’s babii.
